(It also retains a local copy on my.IPhone users already have a pretty compelling note-taking option on their phone courtesy of Apple's Notes app. ![]() As I type them, the Evernote app syncs them with the Evernote servers. When I do, I can use the Evernote Mac client on my laptop to create rich-text notes. The Evernote Legacy app can be installed side-by-side with the new Evernote app, and is denoted by a gray Evernote icon. As such, the Evernote Legacy app, available for Mac and Windows, is downloadable for a limited time to support customers transitioning to the newest version of Evernote (Version 10.0 and above). Here is what you’ll need to import your Evernote notes into OneNote for Mac: Any Mac running OS X El Capitan version 10.11 or later (required). If you only ever use Evernote on the Web, we recommend exporting your notes from Evernote for Mac or Windows to an Evernote export (.enex) file. Evernote 5.0.6 is available through the in-app Software Update. Evernote 5.0.6 also comes with a new Premium feature to search across Office documents, a Premium tab in the sidebar (that you can hide), and possibility to select multiple tags in the sidebar by Command-clicking them (I haven’t been able to get this to work). Price: Free with restriction, $1.49/month. Supported Platforms: macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. One thing to mind here is that Bear is only available for Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac). If you want a simple note-taking app without the bells and whistles that come with an app like Evernote, Bear is the right app for you.
